What is Pixius' Acceptable Use Policy?
Do I have to supply a router?
No, we will include a router with your installation.
What does the equipment look like?
Our equipment maintains a small footprint on the elevation or roof of your home or business. The radio is about a 8 inch tall be 3 inches wide. Depending on the line-of-site to our tower, a small reflector dish might be required that looks similar to a satellite dish.
Is online gaming supported?
Yes, you can enjoy playing games like League of Legends® and Call of Duty® online on all Pixius Internet plans.
How many devices can I have online at the same time?
It depends on the service plan you sign up for. If want to stream movies and have other devices online simultaneously, our Premier, Elite, and Exclusive plans would be best.
Can I upgrade at any time?
Yes, as long as the equipment can support an upgrade. You can upgrade at any time with a new contract.
How much data do movies use?
Approximately 1GB per hour. Our data is unlimited so no need to worry about watching too many movies!
Is there a limit to the amount of data I can use?
No. Unlike other providers, Pixius does not put a limit on the amount of data you can use every month.
Will your services work with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Roku?
Most streaming products require a 1.5Mb speed, so our Media plan would be a great place to start.
How does Pixius Internet compare to 3G/4G cellular Internet?
3G/4G cellular Internet services tend to cap their data, resulting in expensive data overage surcharges.
Pixius Internet does not cap data, providing our customers a flat monthly rate.
How does Pixius Internet compare to satellite?
Due to high latency, satellite Internet cannot support VPNs, VoIP calls, or allow for real-time gaming. Due to data caps, once your monthly data is consumed, speed will be reduced to dial-up speed.
Pixius Internet does
support VPNs, offers IP Addresses, supports VoIP calls, and allows for real-time gaming. Watch movies, stream music, and play games all month long with Pixius Unlimited Data Usage!
